Local Government Tier Maps and MDP Response
Pursuant to the Sustainable Growth & Agricultural Preservation Act of 2012 (the septics law), every local jurisdiction with planning and zoning authority is directed to submit a map showing the implementation of their adopted growth tiers. Below are links to the map and document for each county and municipality that has transmitted this information to MDP. There is also a link to a copy of MDP’s response to those jurisdictions that have submitted this information. The Act allowed jurisdictions to change their definition of a minor subdivision, as it applies to the provisions of the law, up until December 31, 2012. The link titled "View Minor Subdivision Definition Changes" opens a table describing the definition of minor subdivisions in the 23 counties and Baltimore City.
