- Frederick County, Maryland Receives Sustainable Growth Award, Frederick County, Maryland has been presented with one of the state’s “Sustainable Growth Awards” by the Maryland Department of Planning. According to County Executive Jan Gardner, this award is the result of a collaboration between local government and residents of the area.

Maryland Dedicates More Than $9 Million to Revitalize Six Historic Buildings, The six buildings include the Wilkins Rogers Mill near Ellicott City, a former tobacco warehouse and an office building in Baltimore City, a home in the Annapolis historic district, and two commercial buildings in Hagerstown.

Census Data Shows Prince George's County Has Grown, The three-county Southern Maryland region grew at a 9.6% rate from 2010 to 2020, according to preliminary U.S. Census figures. Charles County was the third-fastest growing county in the state, growing at 13.7%, behind Frederick County’s 16.4% and Howard County’s 15.8%. Prince George’s County was fourth at 12%.
