1. Is there any cost to submit a nomination? ​No, nominating a person, policy, or project is completely free. 
2. Are there specific requirements that need to be met to submit? Yes, the nominee must have been completed (Project), served (Leadership), or enacted (Policy) within the last 2 calendar years. Each nominee must be supported with additional materials including but not limited to: photos, videos, written ordinance/legislation.  
3. Award category examples: 

   Successful awardees intersect with land-use, planning, project development, and public outreach.  

   • Leadership: Research, Planning Academy, Non-profit 
     
   • Project: public infrastructure, park, housing project 
     
   • Policy: Zoning Text Amendment, county legislation, city ordinance

4. How will I know if my nomination gets awarded? Nominators will receive an award status notice email after the Sustainable Growth Subcabinet has confirmed the award winners. 
5. Are nomintors notified in advance of the ceremony? Yes, nominators (not awardees) will be informed of the status of their nominations towards the end of November.  
6. Is attendance of the ceremony mandatory? No, but it is highly encouraged. The ceremony is a rare opportunity to present the award winners to the Governor. 
7. How many nominations should I submit for the nominee? Only one nomination is considered per nominee. If there are multiple submission for the same nominee, one will be selected at random for review.
