Excel spreadsheets have been created to aid local governments in challenging census 2000 counts. These files contain total population, group quarters population, total housing counts and occupied and vacant housing units for each cenus block. Each jurisdiction ( 23 counties and Baltimore City ) are in separated Excel spreadsheet files. For more information on the U.S. Census Bureau's Count Question Resolution Program go to CQR
Note: Other block-level data is contained in the Maryland Department of Planning's Redistricting (Public Law 94-171) section. This is a 109 MB DBase file with population by race and Hispanic or Latino origin.

Note: These Census 2000 zip Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs) are different than the U.S. Postal Service Zip Code delivery area. There will not be a match between the two zip Code areas. Later this year, we will obtain the geographic boundaries for the ZCTAs.

You will need Crystal report viewer for these profiles. If you do not have it installed on your computer, it will be automatically downloaded for you when you select your geographic area. The warning messages that will appear while downloading this software are generated from the Crystal Report System. These warning messages are of no consequence and should be ignored.
