With the release of 2023 data, SDAC staff has refined the analysis of annual residential sales activity. Housing units categorized as rental are now excluded from our residential sales data reports. With this adjustment, the data better reflects the sales levels and prices experienced by homebuyers in Maryland. In the interest of providing trend information under the new approach, we have historically revised the reports for years 2017–2022 for methodological consistency. Note that the data from 2002–2016 remains unadjusted. Please refer to the 2023 methodology statement for additional information. Methodology: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024
