Maryland Planning Directors' Roundtable

Convening Regularly for the Purpose of Sharing Ideas on Planning, Development, and Growth

Logo for Maryland Planning Director's RoundtableMaryland is not only a dynamic and vibrant state, but it is a diverse state with communities of different sizes, challenges, and resources.  The priorities of our local governments are varied, but there are common experiences that we can learn from and share with others.  Each community is unique and solutions in one place cannot be immediately applied to another. However, time and resources can be collectively saved using the Maryland Planning Directors’ Roundtable as a forum to share approaches to community problems and identify resources that all could use. Additionally, the Planning Directors’ Roundtable offers a direct line of communication to the Maryland Department of Planning to discuss issues of concern in your community and to identify possible state resources to help address local problems.

The Maryland Planning Directors’ Roundtable offers resources and studies to planning leadership and practitioners across the state. Regular gatherings of county and municipal planners, both rural and urban, provide a venue to share the successes and challenges, experiences, ideas, and common practices. The Maryland Planning Directors Roundtable is open to all planning officials in Maryland’s 23 counties and 157 municipalities.
