Intergovernmental Monitor

The Maryland Department of Planning's (MDP's) Intergovernmental Monitor (Monitor) lists in tabular form those projects proposed in Maryland that are required to be sent to the Maryland State Clearinghouse for intergovernmental review.

To use this tool, click the "Search the Intergovernmental Monitor" link below.

MDP is also developing an online map version of the Monitor to allow users to access and view the proposed projects geospatially.  The tool is currently available in beta version.  Please provide us feedback on both versions of the Monitor at mdp.clearinghouse@maryland.gov.

The projects listed in the Monitor, which are only a subset of all projects proposed in Maryland, include requests for federal or state financial assistance, state-owned real property, easements, declarations of excess needs, community development block grants, historic nominations, facility plans, school sites, environmental assessments, senior centers, and others.  The full range of projects requiring intergovernmental review and available on the Monitor are listed in state regulations at the following link.

The Monitor provides users with access to records received by the clearinghouse during the last three calendar years, the period in which a consistency determination is valid (except for projects involving state real property which are valid in perpetuity. In addition, a search feature has been added and a more detailed record is provided.
