Economic Census

2017 Economic Census :

The Economic Census is produced every five years for calendar years ending in "2" and "7" by the U.S. Census Bureau. The Census publishes more economic series than, perhaps, any other organization. The quinquennial  Economic Census is a comprehensive accounting of business activity by industry in the United States, each of the 50 states, metro areas and counties.

Selected statistics are presented for each industry to include the number of establishments, number of employees, payroll and sales. Some industries may also have additional information such as operating expenses and capital expenditures. The industries are organized as per the NAICS classification system.
