2020 Land Use Map Update Webinar, May 12, 2020

The Maryland Department of Planning held a webinar on May 12, 2020, attended by 100 planners, GIS professionals, and consultants representing government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector as an introduction to its 2020 Statewide Land Use Map Update project.

The webinar included an overview of the 2020 update process, including proposed changes to the product’s format and methodology. In order to make the tool as useful as possible and reduce redundant efforts, Planning sought input about stakeholders’ use of the map and supplemental data sources that may either support map development or be used in conjunction with the map.
