The Financial Resources page is a tool to assist grant seekers in finding information about grants and training. The Maryland State Clearinghouse for Intergovernmental Assistance (Clearinghouse) does not award grants or any other financial assistance. Through this site, the Clearinghouse provides access to information regarding state and federal financial and nonfinancial assistance programs, grantsmanship, and training resources.

Intergovernmental Monitor
The Intergovernmental Monitor provides information about federal and state financial assistance, plan, and development activities. It summarizes projects and proposals submitted to the clearinghouse for intergovernmental review. (Intergovernmental review refers to the assessment of a project or proposal for consistency with state and local policies and programs.)
The Maryland InfoPortal - Digital Catalog of State Assistance Programs
The Digital Catalog of State Assistance Programs, known as the Maryland InfoPortal, is a free on-line, searchable database of more than 700 programs assisting the citizens of Maryland and local governments and includes information on scholarships available through Maryland state colleges and universities. It is a cooperative effort of state agencies providing information on programs and grant opportunities that offer financial and technical assistance to local governments and individuals.
The Maryland InfoPortal identifies and describes state programs offering both financial and nonfinancial types of assistance. Non Financial assistance may be in the form of services, regulations, or other programs.
Programs may be viewed by the sponsoring agency or through a targeted search function related to applicant eligibility, type of assistance, or keyword search. Using the internet allows sponsoring agencies to submit changes in program information as often as necessary which helps ensure the contents of the Maryland InfoPortal are current.
Grantsmanship
The clearinghouse receives numerous requests for information on where to find grants for several types of projects. This section provides links to other internet sources to assist in a search. For example, the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA), an E-Gov initiative managed by the General Services Administration (GSA), is a list of all federal financial assistance and nonfinancial assistance programs available to a variety of applicants.
The CFDA, now called Assistance Listings, helps users find general information about the assistance, identify program objectives and elegibility requirements, and provides links to current opportunities related to a particular assistance listing at grants.gov.
CFDA numbers identify and sort more than 2,000 federal programs. Each CFDA number contains five digits and appears in the following format - 10.001 or 98.102. (source: Grants.gov)
