Maryland’s Inaugural Statewide Brownfield Conference

Toward Beneficial Reuse

November 16–17, 2021 (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day), Virtual Event

The inaugural Maryland statewide brownfield conference will provide a forum for local governments, consultants, attorneys, developers, and non-governmental organizations to learn and share information about brownfields and to promote increased awareness about the processes and technologies that move brownfields toward beneficial reuse in Maryland’s communities.

The two-half-days conference on November 16 and 17 will be organized with more foundational/basic information presented on the first day and more technical presentations the second day. Anticipated presentation topics include: solar facility generation on brownfields; review of federal and state technical and financial assistance options; drycleaner cleanup challenges; and local government brownfield case studies.

The conference will be virtual via GoToWebinar. However, there will be opportunities for in-person engagement for conference attendees on the first day with meet-up group brownfield tours organized throughout the state, followed by social gatherings/networking events at restaurants or breweries near the brownfield sites. The conference will also offer optional virtual wellness activities to invigorate attendees before sessions begin (potentially a walk in your local park or yoga).

Please complete the sign-up form at the link below to pre-register for this conference.
